St. Petersburg officials have been working to revitalize the once-thriving business district and fill the vacant land and abandoned buildings with new shops, restaurants and offices.

Phillips Development is planning 300 market-rate apartments and 25,000-square-feet of retail and restaurant space on a 9-acre site at the north end of the Skyway Marina District in south St. Petersburg.  This is the first major residential project for the area and could be a catalyst for additional development in the immediate area.
